June 2, 2009 will forever remain in infsamy because of the passing of House Resolution 1109. Our congressmen, our so called representatives, seem determined to bend democracy over and screw it in the ass. I am no longer surprised, but it still angers me. It angers me and makes me sad. If you’re a Filipino like me, who still gives a flying fuck about this country, then please do your part. Head over here, take your stand and be heard. That’s all I wish to say about it for now.
That day was made even sadder for me as one of my favorite webcomics, We The Robots, posted its last strip that fateful Tuesday. I’d like to share it with you here:

If you haven’t followed the series as closely as I did, it may not seem like much. But I for one love it. It seems to me a perfect way to end, and that is to sort of not, so wonderfully bittersweet.
If you’ve never read We The Robots before then you my friend are missing out. Its insight on the human condition is unexpectedly accurate and at the same time surprisingly poignant. Before I end I’d like to share the first strip I read; the one that got me hooked:

Thank you Mr. Chris Harding. Your vision of a technological dystopia will be sorely missed.
the comics is great… i love seeing something with this…
