January 4, 2008What's this I hear about Erap making a comeback in the film industry? I understand he now wants to try out being a comedian.
Didn't he already do that? It was called his presidency if I remember correctly. I miss it sometimes.

January 3, 2008Failure. I HAS IT!
A mere 85 hours after I smoked that wonderful Villiger cigar and attempted to quit the habit, my will crumbles and I give in to the craving. I have just returned to my desk from what I thought was a trip downstairs to buy myself a bottle of Del Monte Fit & Right that suddenly turned into a ciggy break. Yes. I know. I suck.

A New Mordo for the New Year
January 1, 2008The fireworks had almost completely died down. The neighborhood was once more fairly peaceful save for one household holding a karaoke marathon. The wifey was now sleeping after our simple media noche and setting off our own brand of fireworks in the bedroom. It was then that I went down to our lanai, poured myself a glass of wine and lit a cigar. If my will proves up to the task, it will be the last thing I smoke. Ever.

I haven't written a new year's resolution in ages. I've always felt that such a list would only be a cause for disappointment for myself whenever I end up breaking any of the items listed on it. 2008 is a landmark year for me though. In six months, I turn 30. I don't expect you to understand when I say that that is equally exciting and terrifying at the same time. So yes, I have a list for this year. I won't be writing it down here not only because some items are downright embarrassing (number 34. Stop pleasuring self while watching hentai.) and others won't really make much sense to most of you, (number 81. Stop feeling like you're a bus) but mostly because it's a long ass list and I really don't want to bore you to tears.

Who I am
Hi. I'm Adam Mordo, the Human Walrus. As such, I have a natural affinity for water. Needless to say, I love the ocean and I'm crazy about the beach! Just give me sand, surf and beautiful weather and I'm happy as a clam. I'm a frustrated writer, an amateur photographer, a wannabe surfer and washed up fencer. I'm a hard worker (at least my boss thinks so) a good friend (as my friends would say...well I made them say that but...) and a business mogul in training (mwehehehe). I believe that normalcy is boring but I accept that it is a neccesary evil. I believe that friendship is stronger than distance, that fact is stranger than fiction and that imagination is more powerful than knowledge. I believe that happiness is, more than anything else, a choice. And as cheesy as it may sound, I still believe that love conquers all.
