Gah! Tagged!

August 21, 2007

As my regular readers know, (yes, you three.)  I hardly ever respond to tags. I can't pass on this one though because this time I was tagged by the Sexy Nomad and it would be unwise for me to so because it's been raining quite a lot these past few days. (*wink*) So although I am really not one to enjoy these things, I will be going through with it nonetheless. I guess Jen's just helping me write more so I guess this isn't so bad. So here are 30 questions followed by my 30 answers. Pay attention now. This is a rarity.

30 QUESTIONS

1. Where is your dad right now?
In Los Angeles, most possibly sleeping  or  reading some sci-fi while smoking Benson & Hedges.

2. Last time you kissed someone?
This morning, after breakfast  with Jen. We had  Jollibee molo soup and coffee and juice and ate at her office. Afterwards, she walked me to the elevator, then pressed her luscious body against mine, then gave me a nice long kiss. On the way down, I did my best to hide my boner from the other passengers. I don't think I succeeded.

3. Name five things you did today

  • Took a shower
  • Brushed my teeth.
  • Drove Jen to her office.
  • Had breakfast with Jen.
  • Had a boner in an elevator.

4. Last person you text messaged?
Jen, the love of my life.

5. What kind of phone do you have?
A mobile phone. It's really neat. I can take it wherever I go. Because it's mobile.

6. Where does your best friend work?
In Makati. Inside an office. In a building. Where she works.

7. What are you listening to?
        The clatter of computer keyboards.

8. What do you smell like?
Cookies and cigarette smoke. I don't know why.

9. What color are your eyes?
Red. I've been staring at the monitor for hours. Some Visine would help but I'm all out.

10. Have you ever done a Chinese fire drill?
No. But I've done the Humpback Bridge, Newton's Apple, Anjou-style and The Norwegian Cross.

11. What color is your bedroom floor?
        Beige.

12. Do you have a chair in your room?
Yes. I hardly ever sit on it though.

13. What are you doing tomorrow?
Lots actually, mostly work, do a bit of writing for my Manila Times column, patrol the blogosphere, play YM shrink, find Yamashita's gold, cure cancer, save the world. Typical day,  see?

14. Do you know someone named Betsy?
Yup, Jen's manang from Cagayan de Oro.

15. What color is your mom’s hair?
        Black with few white strands.

16. Do you have a dog?
        I used to.

17. Do you remember singing songs as a kid?
Yeah. Why? Don't you? No? Man, your childhood sucked.

18. Are you married?
Yes, 5 years and counting, to an amazing woman who I love with all that I am. Also, she's hot. Ha!

19. When was the last time you talked to one of your siblings?
Never happened. I'm an only kid.

20. Do you play an instrument?
Percussions. I never got really good at it though.

21. Do you like fire?
        Yes.

 22. Are you allergic to anything?
Yes. I have rhinitis so dust and pollen can send me in to sneezing fits.

23. Do you have a crush on anyone?
        No.

24. Do you have a best friend?
Yes.  She works in Makati. Inside an office. In a building. Where she works.

25. Have you ever been to a spa?
        Yes.

26. Did you take science all 4 yrs. of High School?
        Yes.

27. Do you like butterflies?
Yes, they're tasty, better than moths.

28. Do you miss someone right now?
        My dad.

29. Do you think they miss u too?
        I believe so.

30. Have you ever seen your school counselor?
       MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I'm tagging no one in particular. Yay!

SLEX…WTF? No Seriously, What. The. Fuck?!

August 8, 2007

I think the South Luzon Expressway was broken yesterday late evening up 'til and perhaps even past the time of writing. It was hardly moving at all, see? And I know this because we just got home. Yep. We got caught in a monster traffic jam, over 3 grueling hours from Nichols to the new Filinvest exit. It was our first very real encounter with the beast that SLEX has been purportedly known to become on occasion. It's difficult to sum up how I feel about it. This is as close as I can get I guess.

A Good Buzz

August 7, 2007

I threw my back last Sunday while doing a bit of landscaping for the new house. I misjudged just how heavy this particular boulder was and I forgot to lift from the knees and having a horribly huge beer belly didn't help matters. This put me stuck in bed yesterday, with nothing but Alaxan to help with the pain. I couldn't score any of the good stuff like Valium because while the pain was excruciating, it supposedly didn't warrant such drastic intervention. I turned to the next best thing and no I don't mean masturbation because It's kinda hard to "wank the walrus" with an aching back. I mean Johnny Walker. Not the most advisable thing to do really but hey, it relaxes the muscles and it numbs the pain and makes the world all swishy which is fun. A few shots later (hehe. I lost count) I had a really good buzz going and then I logged on to the Internet. I found my way into the I.PH forums and found a similarly good buzz going. Not alcohol induced at all but indirectly involving alcohol or at least a good possibility of it.

No idea what I'm talking about? Well get your ass here and you'll find a fairly good buzz going for the 2nd I.PH EyeBallnanza! We've been throwing around ideas to have a second eye ball in the I.PH forums for quite some time now and just recently, things are actually coming together. Mad props to lovely I.PH ladies Alohapenny, Liz, Jade and Idrill for getting the word out. Thanks also to the guys who did the same. I can't remember your names because I'm nursing a hangover. Also, you have no titties.

Anyway, it's scheduled for September 8, 2007 at 7:00PM at a yet to be agreed upon location in Metrowalk, Ortigas Center Pasig. It's looking out be a pretty cool event. As always, all I.PH users are welcome. You can bring your non I.PH friends too so we can pressure them into signing up because democracy is just so awesome. For questions and particulars, you can join in the discussion over at the I.PH forum. If you haven't registered for the forum I suggest you do so now here because really, do you want to miss out on stuff like these?  I'll have regular updates regarding the I.PH EyeBallnanza! on this blog too so if you want, you can leave comments here. You can also reach me through peterjuan@i.ph if you want to go the email route. We do hope you can join this this time! Now kiddies, run off and spread the word! Blog on!

Who I am

Hi. I'm Adam Mordo, the Human Walrus. As such, I have a natural affinity for water. Needless to say, I love the ocean and I'm crazy about the beach! Just give me sand, surf and beautiful weather and I'm happy as a clam. I'm a frustrated writer, an amateur photographer, a wannabe surfer and washed up fencer. I'm a hard worker (at least my boss thinks so) a good friend (as my friends would say...well I made them say that but...) and a business mogul in training (mwehehehe). I believe that normalcy is boring but I accept that it is a neccesary evil. I believe that friendship is stronger than distance, that fact is stranger than fiction and that imagination is more powerful than knowledge. I believe that happiness is, more than anything else, a choice. And as cheesy as it may sound, I still believe that love conquers all.
