Every Little Thing and Whole Lot of Rambling…

July 31, 2007

July ends in a few minutes and I am writing here as I always do, that is, in white heat, brought on by the inevitable pressure that I heap upon myself to at least be able to update this blog once a month. That in itself is pathetic enough so I simply cannot allow myself to sink any lower on the suckitude scale. Expect this post to ramble. I have no plans of editing afterwards and I am typing things as they come to mind. Call it mental diarrhea. It ain't fun, but it sure is a relief.

As always, lots have happened since my last post. What do you expect? It was a over a month ago! I may not blog a lot but I'm no hermit. Padi came to visit us and stayed for 3 weeks and it was a flurry of activity meeting with family and loved ones. He's back in LA now and The SexyNomad and I miss him a lot already. It's always great having him around. I know he misses us too, as well as the lovely attendants in Casino Filipino over at Sofitel Philippine Plaza. As you might expect, there are better accounts of his visit here. Pictures too! Yeah, I'm a lazy ass.

Last Sunday, we went to Anna's wedding over at Intramuros. It was an intimate affair set in an open patio. The sudden downpour was a bit of a dampener but hey, the celebration went on with no other hitches. The thing that struck  me most  though is the fact that Anna met her new husband, Jeff, over at Friendster. FRIENDSTER!!! Holy crap! I'll give you a moment to let that sink in…

The seeming unlikelihood boggles the mind doesn't it?! But then again, this would be the second time a friend of ours got hitched to someone they met over at that social networking site. I know several people have also hooked up over at my other blog through the forums section but no one's gotten married yet. Could be a fluke but it does add weight, in my mind at least,  to the possibility of finding true love over the internet. That got me wondering if there are people out there who hooked up or found their significant other through I.PH. Would there be anyone  actually contemplating on exchanging vows? If there are please let me know because I think that would be totally awesome. Send me an invite and I'm there! I'll bring a nice gift too, things a new couple can't do without, like a puppy or edible underwear.

Yes. I know my neck is missing.

Seated, Jeff and Anna! They met on Friendster!!! OMG!

P7281578 Last Friday, Jen and I discovered a pretty cool club hidden in Blue Wave over at Diosdado Macapagal Ave. (DiMac Ave.)  It's called The Bazzo Bar and it plays some pretty good hip-hop and RnB. You'll like it if you're into dancing or if you enjoy watching hotties dance. It's not as upscale classy as Embassy or such but the skirts are just as short.  Oh and the asian inspired food isn't bad either. Beer is also reasonably priced at PhP350 for a bucket of 6 and it comes with free bar chow. And by bar chow I mean fries. And when I say fries I really mean soggy sticks of fried potatoes. Pitchers of mixed drinks come at around the same price too so it will be fairly inexpensive to get your female friends drunk and groggy and easy to rape. Not that I condone rape. I actually think it's kinda bad. All I'm saying is if you get them drunk and they pass out then you could. Or at least it would be easier. Still, I'm not saying you should because that would make Papa God very angry.  You won't like him when his angry. Trust me. I've read the old testament. You don't want to turn into salt now do you?

Anyway, we liked the place enough that we decided to meet up with friends there the next day. Mossimo bikini model and our good friend Jem was leaving for the US on account of a promotion because she's not only hot, she's incredibly smart as too, which leads me to believe that if there really is a god, he or she can be really unfair at times.( I kinda think that a lot actually, being married to an intelligent girl with wicked curves, but I digress yet again.) So we decided to have a good bye of sorts there. Jen and I arrived there first and ordered dinner. We were able to get one of the couches which is good for me because that meant I could get cozy and feel up the wifey in the dark because I'm a bit of lout and because she looked extra yummy that evening in her little black dress. I noted that she that turned quite a few heads heads. I controlled myself enough not to mess up her attire too much because I'm sensitive like that.

Dino, Jem, SexyNomad, Peachie and Jowi

Shortly, Jem arrived with BMR frontman, Dino who that evening had a very rare, free Saturday. They were followed moments later by singer extraordinaire Jowi and kendo super girl in training, Peachie. We exchanged conversations over the noise and it was for the most part, a righteously good time. Jem eventually had to leave at around midnight as she was "triple booked" that evening, lots of friends wanting to say goodbye. A few minutes before Jem left, sweet china doll Irene arrived wearing a purple plaid corset which drew a lot of looks. With her was her husband and reigning URCC Heavyweight champion so don't get any ideas. We left Bazzo then to get Jem a ride. Hurried goodbyes were then purposely exchanged before any of the ladies shed tears. Dino and Jem hopped into a cab and then they were off. (Jem, if you're reading this, you will be missed! Take care hot stuff.)

The group then went on over  to Cheesecake Etc where they talked on until past 3:00AM. Showing great resilience, I survived this female ritual known as a gabfest. When we got home at around a quarter to 4:00AM I was oddly still very much awake. I logged on to the internet with the intent of updating this blog but was easily defeated by my laziness. I ended up surfing YouTube for naughty under aged girls. Finding that YouTube seems to have gotten stricter with that, I clicked around looking for music videos instead. That's how I came across this one:

The video is actually for I Will Follow you into the Dark by Deathcab For Cutie, a nice melancholic song in its own right.  It's uncanny how well it suits Dishwalla's Every Little Thing though, don't you think? Those rabbits, they break my heart.

So that's my pointless rambling for this month. I believe you'll be spared from reading much more of these in the future because thankfully, I think I feel the good old creative juices flowing again and no, it's not because I just played with my bird. I am actually planning on putting up my own podcast pretty soon. I think I'll be calling it the Mordocast or the Walruscast. It'll be fairly easy to do anyway as I.PH is a podcaster's dream. So look out for that ok? Or not. Thanks for reading all the way down here. I truly appreciate you wasting your time with me. Good day!

Who I am

Hi. I'm Adam Mordo, the Human Walrus. As such, I have a natural affinity for water. Needless to say, I love the ocean and I'm crazy about the beach! Just give me sand, surf and beautiful weather and I'm happy as a clam. I'm a frustrated writer, an amateur photographer, a wannabe surfer and washed up fencer. I'm a hard worker (at least my boss thinks so) a good friend (as my friends would say...well I made them say that but...) and a business mogul in training (mwehehehe). I believe that normalcy is boring but I accept that it is a neccesary evil. I believe that friendship is stronger than distance, that fact is stranger than fiction and that imagination is more powerful than knowledge. I believe that happiness is, more than anything else, a choice. And as cheesy as it may sound, I still believe that love conquers all.
